Your Story: When my mom became pregnant with me, my dad
ended his relationship with her.
He told my mom to have an abortion because he felt like he couldn’t
support me financially. But my mom
still had me. I went to a
Christian school and I learned about God but I never dedicated myself to have a
relationship with him. Later in high school was when I fully gave my life to
the Lord. After some time, my dad
tried to have a relationship with me, but I never wanted anything to do with
him because of what had happened.
After time, the only thing that could heal those scars was the love of
God. Thanks to him, today I
actually have a good relationship with him and last year, he even accepted
Christ into his own life!
How has VC Revolution impacted your
Life? How VC Revolution has
been the best thing for me! In VC Revolution, I have learned how to be a more
dedicated woman of God. I have
learned more of what my purpose in life is. It is not just to play volleyball, but that I can use
volleyball to grow closer to God.
Today I give thanks to God and to Coach because through them, I have
better gotten to know my creator.
How have you been serving in the
community? I have been helping
as the assistant coach of the Varsity team. I also help teach the discipleship class called Frontera for the JV and Varsity teams. I also am a leader in the youth group where I attend
church.
Why is college important for you?
To me college is
important because the career I am starting will serve for the work of God and
also to help my family. I see so
many needs and I feel that God has seen me to help others and to teach them the
truth, just like VC Revolution did for me.
